New Zealand at the 2027 World Cup

New Zealand are the World Cup's great over-achievers: runners-up in 2015 and 2019, and semi-finalists again in 2023. The 2019 final at Lord's, decided on boundary count after a tied match and a tied super over, remains one of the sport's most dramatic days.

Top seeds in Group B, they open against co-hosts South Africa at Newlands in a day/night match on 9 October.

Disciplined seam bowling and smart batting suit South African conditions, and the Black Caps will see 2027 as another strong chance at a first title.
