The provisional Super 7 route
India are pre-seeded as A1. If they qualify, their Super 7 fixtures would be:

- 31 Oct: v South Africa (B2), Johannesburg (day/night, 4:00 PM IST)

That's a possible second India v Pakistan meeting, and an India v South Africa evening game in front of a packed Wanderers.
The South African connection
India played the 2003 final at the Wanderers, losing to Australia. The 2027 final is at the same ground on 21 November.
