Venue: Wanderers Stadium
Known as 'the Bullring' for its steep, enclosed stands, the Wanderers is South Africa's largest cricket ground and will host the 2027 final, as it did in 2003. It is also where South Africa famously chased 435 against Australia in 2006, still one of the great one-day matches.
Conditions: High-altitude Highveld ground. Good bounce, fast outfield and plenty of runs. Afternoon thunderstorms become more common from late October.
Weather: Warm, sunny days of around 24–27°C in October and November. Brief, heavy afternoon storms are a feature of the Highveld summer.
